Country Music - Charlie Robison
Charlie Robison was born and raised in Texas on the family ranch. A talented songwriter, he began penning songs at the age of 15. In 1998, Robison released Bandera; Life of the Party, his debut album. His younger brother, Bruce, and country artist, Jack Ingram, joined him in 2000 in releasing Unleased Live. Not one to mince words, Robison has developed a reputation as being hasty and rash, saying what's on his mind regardless of the consequences. His songs are indicative of real Texas life and often portray a deeper, dark side of the man. Robison finds it more difficult to create sad songs since his marriage to Emily Erwin, a member of the Dixie Chicks, and the birth of their son, Gus, who was named after a character in Lonesome Dove. He has also recorded songs with another member of the Chicks, Natalie Maines. Robison and his wife live outside of Bandera, his hometown, on a ranch. Their time is spent balancing ranch chores like baling hay and raising quarter horses and cattle, while pursuing their music careers. Regardless of where he's at in life, Robison is extremely confident and it's a good bet that his confidence will take him right where he wants to go.
