Diamond Rio - Country Music

Starting their music career as the Tennessee River Boys, the group Diamond Rio is famous for their rich vocals and harmonies, as well as their guitar picking and outstanding instrumentals. Comprised of six talented artists, Diamond Rio currently includes vocalist Marty Roe (born December 28, 1960), guitarist Jimmy Olander (born August 26, 1961), Gene Johnson on the mandolin (born August 10, 1949), pianist Dan Truman (born August 29, 1956), Dana Williams on bass (born May 22, 1961) and drummer Brian Prout (born December 4, 1955).

Their success throughout the 90's include their first #1 hit, "Meet Me in the Middle". The group earned six CMA and ACM awards for Vocal Group of the Year throughout the decade, riding on songs like "Norma Jean Riley", "Walkin' Away", and "In a Week or Two". In 1998, they became the first band to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Later that year, they released one of their best albums to date, containing the hits "You're Gone" and "Unbelievable".

With all their albums being certified gold or platinum, Diamond Rio continued the trend with their No. 2 in hit in 2002 "Beautiful Mess", and a No. 1 single in 2003, "I Believe". Diamond Rio is well known for their humanitarian efforts across the globe.
