Jessica Andrews - Country Music
Jessica Andrews knew from the minute she won a talent show in the fourth grade that she wanted a career in music. Born in Huntingdon, Tennessee, on December 29, 1983, it didn't take her long to achieve that success. After winning the talent show with her rendition of "I Will Always Love You", she chased after success, singing every chance she could get.
Eventually, word of the young singer's talent made it to Nashville, and producer Byron Gallimore drove to Huntingdon to find out for himself. That trip launched the teenager's career, and Jessica soon landed a record deal with DreamWorks.
While promoting her debut album in 1999, Heart Shaped World, Jessica had the honor of sharing the stage with Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw. Heart Shaped World earned her the Top New Female Vocalist of the Year award by the Academy of Country Music in 2000.
Her second album, Who I Am, was certified gold in 2001, with the title track Who I Am becoming her first number one single. Also a songwriter, Jessica strives to find songs with powerful and meaningful lyrics which provide an opportunity to showcase her energy and wide vocal range.
