Joe Diffie - Country Music
Joe Diffie's first performed at the age of four with his aunt's country band. Music has taken Diffie from his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Nashville in pursuit of a songwriting career. His first songwriting career hit "Love On The Rocks" was recorded by Hank Thompson. Diffie became a demo singer on Music Row, while working at the Gibson guitar plant.
His songwriting career transitioned to recording artist as Diffie recorded hit songs which included "If The Devil Danced In Empty Pockets," and "New Way To Light Up An Old Flame", ranking him as one of Nashville's top ballad artists.
Showing a more up-tempo side with hits "John Deere Green," "Bigger Than The Beatles", "Pickup Man", "Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox (If I Die)", Diffie built on his success. By the late 90's, Joe Diffie's music produced seventeen Top 10 hits, ten of those topping the charts at number one.
"What Would Waylon Do?", a duet he performed with George Jones earned him a 1993 Country Music Award. After leaving Epic Records, he signed with Broken Bow Records and for the first time became a producer. Diffie tours with Mark Chesnutt and Tracy Lawrence when he's not busy recording and producing his newer releases.
