T. Graham Brown - Country Music
T. Graham Brown, known as "His T-Ness" to some, is a high profile singer and songwriter, with commercials and films adding to his many credits. T. Graham (the T stands for Tony) grew up on a Georgia farm, but adds his own rocking blues style to country music. He began his musical career as part of a duo with Dirk Howell in Athens, GA, and began singing demos in Nashville in1982.
A recording contract with Capitol Records in 1984 made his debut with the Top 5"I Wish I Could Hurt That Way Again". Number one singles followed in 1986 with "Hell and High Water" and "Don't Go To Strangers". Tony received the CMA Vocal Event of the Year Award in 1993 for "I Don't Need Your Rockin Chair" with George Jones.
His career includes singing jingles for commercials for major companies like Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Almond Joy, Pontiac and Budweiser. For four years, he sang and acted in Taco Bell's Run for the Border commercial, as well as having parts in several films. Brown attended NASTRACK racing school, holding the record for fastest amateur track time.
T. Graham had a drinking problem throughout much of his career, which he finally overcame, crediting that success to his son, Acme, and wife, Sheila. The title track from his 1998 album, Wine Into Water, was based on that experience.
