Terri Clark - Country Music

Terri Clark was born August 5, 1968, in Montreal, and raised in Alberta, Canada. She made the move to Nashville at the age of 18. Terri's first contract in Nashville was as a songwriter, not a singer.

Not only does Terri have a great voice, but she is quite accomplished on the guitar. Terri's first single "Better Things To Do" rose to number three on the charts in 1995. Those hits continued with "Easy on the Eyes", and the fun-loving song "Girls Lie Too".

The Canadian Country Music Association honored Clark as Fans' Choice Entertainer of the Year in 1997, 2001, 2002, and 2003. After the number one "Easy on the Eyes" in 1998, Terri's career faded a little, but she made a remarkable comeback in 2003 with the single "I Just Wanna Be Mad (for a While)", and again in 2005 with "She Didn't Have Time".

Clark is the first Canadian female country artist to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Now married and living in Nashville, Terri continues to enjoy the craft of songwriting, penning many of the songs on her albums. She relates much of her success to those songs, which express everyday life by delving deep into the emotions.
