Tim McGraw - Country Music
Tim McGraw's astounding musical success is easily summed up by mentioning one song, "Live Like You Were Dying". Co-written by McGraw and Craig Wiseman, the smash single rose to the top quickly and broke records with it's 10-week #1 status. The album and the song won virtually every award for which they were nominated.
The song's success is much like the artist. McGraw was born May 1, 1967, in Delhi, Louisiana. When he was 11 years old, he accidentally found out that baseball star Tug McGraw was his father. Coincidentally, Tug died while McGraw was rehearsing for the album "Live Like You Were Dying". His first hits were "Indian Outlaw" and "Not a Moment Too Soon", and his first No. 1 song was "Don't Take The Girl".
With a multi-platinum album to his credit, McGraw continued to record hit singles and win industry awards. After winning Country Music Association's Male Vocalist of the Year in 1999 and 2000, Tim McGraw came back the next year with more #1 hits, like "The Cowboy in Me".
He met Faith Hill during the Spontaneous Combustion tour, and the two married in October, 1996. The two were also a tremendous musical match, with award-winning hit duets like "Let's Make Love" and "It's Your Love". McGraw readily admits he's a lucky man and finds true happiness at home with his wife, Faith Hill, and three daughters, Audrey, Gracie, and Maggie.
