Ty England - Country Music
Born December 5, 1963, Ty England delivers a conversational country song, intentionally minimal in instrumentals. As Ty states, its true hardcore country, and you won't be hearing any evidence in his songs. England grew up on old country, listening to music with his grandfather, who taught him how to play the guitar.
He started performing in high school, and became friends with Garth Brooks in college. When Brooks got a record deal, he asked Ty to play the guitar on his tour. England landed himself a record deal and cut two albums in 1995 and 1996, before taking time a break to spend time with his children. The father of four, England says "I'm a Daddy first".
His main goal in life is to have great kids, and Ty believes in order to accomplish that goal, he needs to be there with his wife, Shanna. After taking a few years off, he returned to his career and released the CD Highways and Dance Halls, which England says is just true country music that doesn't fit into any other format. He can be seen on television singing along with his friend, Garth, in Dr. Pepper commercials and in Garth's video "Wrapped Up in You".
